This is Kimberly Jo Smith and I invite you to enjoy our new music video, Serenity Blue. This song is about the lives of my great-great grandparents, Joseph and Emma Smith. It is a story about Lucy Mack Smith, a mother who has lost her sons, and Emma, a wife who has lost her husband. It also speaks of David Hyrum Smith, the son who lost the father he never knew. David was born a few months after his father, Joseph was murdered. The song also focuses on the generations of today and the importance of testimony. My son, Bryan Davis and I wrote the song and recorded it in the summer of 2011. It is one of many songs we have recorded about the lives of our ancestors.
